I had the pleasure of visiting the Collaborative Art Practices class at Kansas City Art Institute this week. I gave feedback on the 3rd of the classes projects. Project 1 was Person, Project 2 was place, Project 3 was thing.
I have an MFA in studio art and will complete my Master of Urban Planning degree in 2016. In 2015, I conducted research into waste management in Mumbai, India through a joint workshop hosted by C-USE at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and presented findings at the Amsterdam-Mumbai Symposium on Sustainable Urban Development: Practices, Problems and Prospects, and I worked in Sastamala, Finland on rural development projects through the EU Leader program. I am currently a student researcher on a collaborative irrigation project in Ecuador and I am an intern for the Institute for Sustainability, Energy and Environment in Champaign, IL. I plan to continue my multiple roles as artist, educator and planning and development researcher into the future.
